Spears set to shoot clip for new single in London.
By Jocelyn Vena
Britney Spears recently shared that she plans to shoot her video for "Criminal" in England, and now fans are not only learning more details about her plans to promote the single but also getting a look at the cover artwork.
The turquoise-and-red single art for the song — which is now all over the blogs — features a serious-looking Spears looking out into the distance, her wavy hair falling on her bare back. A mysterious hooded man is also featured on the cover. A rep confirmed to MTV News on Wednesday (September 14) that the art is official.
Spears has promised that the video will be eye-catching. "Actually, the song, when I first heard it, it's really different and it's not anything I've heard like this before. So I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting," she told us last month. "You'll have to see."
As for the location of the shoot, Spears gushed about it on Twitter. "So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks," she wrote. "Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home. Decided to shoot the 'Criminal' video in the streets of merry old England when I get there."
As Spears gears up for the release of "Criminal," she's also got a few other projects in the works, including a remix album due out next month and a concert special set to air on Epix. The just-released trailer for the special, set to air in November, uses concert footage from her Femme Fatale Tour, which Brit is gearing up to take to Europe later this month.

Jessica Simpson's ex-husband Nick Lachey may have remarried earlier this year, but she's apparently in no hurry to follow him down the aisle. The singer-turned-apparel maven is reportedly stalling on her wedding plans to fiancé Eric Johnson.
According to Us Weekly, Simpson, 30, hasn't set a date yet for the big day, even though it has been over 10 months since Johnson, 32, popped the question. Apparently she's hit pause on all wedding plans.
"Everything is up in the air," a source tells Us. "She can't figure out what kind of day she wants. Some days she wants a big wedding in Hawaii, then other days she wants something closer to home."
But the big question isn't just what style of wedding Simpson wants the second time around, it's whether she is possibly calling off the engagement altogether. Simpson and Johnson, an NFL free agent, started dating in May 2010 and announced their engagement last November.
"She was so gung ho about planning their wedding, and now she's gone dark," says a pal. "She won't commit to a date."
On top of all this wedding-date intrigue the duo is being plagued with pregnancy rumors. InTouch even published an article stating that Simpson does have bun in the oven. Time will only tell if it's marriage or a baby carriage for the glam couple.

Up and ready to tend to her humpday work duties, Pippa Middleton was spotted out bright and early in London on Wednesday morning (September 28).
The 28-year-old sister of Duchess Kate looked dashing in a peach summer dress as she toted a brown leather handbag while running a few errands to kick off the day's agenda.
The sighting comes just as designer Alice Temperly - of whom had the pleasure of seeing Pippa attended her recent S/S 2012 show at London Fashion Week - voiced her desire to design the brunette beauty's wedding gown when the time comes for her big walk down the aisle.
Miss Temperly told The Telegraph, "I'd love to dress Pippa for her wedding when it happens." She added, "She's so beautiful - she's perfect and her bum is perfect - it would be such an honor."

Though Heath Ledger passed away more than three years ago, his memory is still being treasured by those closest to him. Ledger's former girlfriend, Naomi Watts, opened up about The Dark Knight actor's death in the October issue of More magazine, and says she still holds the relationship close to her heart.
"We had a beautiful relationship, only a couple of years, but he was a man who was completely full of joy, and there was a lot of laughing and affection. He was really a very special soul and made a great impact on my life," the 42-year-old Dream House actress says.
Watts dated Ledger from 2002 to 2004. She has been in a relationship with Liev Schreiber since 2005 and has two sons -- Alexander, 4, and Samuel, 2 -- with the 43-year-old actor.
As someone who lost her own father at a young age, Watts said she can empathize with the struggle Ledger's 5-year-old daughter Matilda (with former girlfriend Michelle Williams) must be going through.
"(Ledger was) a great actor, but I know there was so much more to come. And it’s a tragedy for his little daughter," Watts says. "Not knowing my father always made me feel like a piece of myself was missing or unknown. Not reachable. Growing up, there was this wondering what he would think of me or what I would think of him."
After Ledger's death in 2008, Watts was reportedly a "mess over the death" and canceled many of her press appearances to deal with the tragedy. Nearly a year after his passing, Watts said that it was "still incredibly difficult" to talk about Ledger.
Not letting her nude photo debacle hamper her fashionable plans, Scarlett Johansson continued forth with a full day of appearances in Milan, Italy on Sunday (September 25).
The "We Bought a Zoo" actress looked stunning in a black halter dress with black and white heels as she took to the Dolce & Gabbana Gold Restaurant for a fancy dinner party alongside the eatery's namesakes, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
The swanky night-capping soiree followed ScarJo's attendance at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show as part Milan Womenswear Fashion Week earlier in the day.
At the runway extravaganza, the 26-year-old took in the highly-regarded designers' latest looks from a front row perch alongside Bianca Brandolini d'Adda, Carolina Crescentini and Felicity Jones.

She never misses an opportunity to connect with her Little Monsters, and Lady Gaga was in top form at the iHeartRadio Music Festival this evening (September 24).
The ?You and I? singer wasted no time in showing once again why she?s one of the top live acts in the world, mixing her signature sound with fabulous choreography and killer getups at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Prior to treating the audience to songs including "Judas," "Bad Romance," "You and I" and "Just Dance," Gaga took aim at herself (sort of) while speaking with show host Elvis Duran - as she brought up her alter-ego Jo Calderone.
Commenting on Jo's MTV VMAs, the 25-year-old said, ?Who does he think he is going on national television and speaking about my personal life like that? He?s a sucker."
Meanwhile, coming up this week, Gaga will be at the Mugler Women?s Wear Collection runway show as part of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012.
Mother Monster will unveil a new short film during the gig, furthering her fabulous working relationship with the brand. At this point, there are very few details about the clip, but stay linked to GossipCenter for the latest scoop.

He also reveals that Catherine Zeta-Jones just signed on to join him and Russell Crowe in 'Broken City.'
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Mark Wahlberg was in the giving spirit at the Emmys this weekend, kicking MTV News a bunch of news about his upcoming projects — everything from a burger-based reality show to who he'll be sharing the screen with on his next flick to who will be putting pen to paper for his planned "Fighter" sequel.
This fall, Wahlberg is headed to New York to shoot "Broken City," a noir drama in which he'll play a private detective hired by the mayor (Russell Crowe) to investigate whether his wife is cheating on him. "I think Catherine Zeta-Jones just signed on to be Russell's wife," Wahlberg told us.
A call to the production company behind the project was not immediately returned.
Also on the movie tip, Wahlberg gave us an update about his "Fighter" sequel. Previously, David O. Russell, who helmed the Oscar-winning first film but didn't pen the script, had told us he was looking to write the sequel. But Wahlberg let us know the original screenwriter will likely get the first crack at drafting the sequel, which will focus on Micky Ward's three bouts with Arturo Gatti from 2002 to 2003.
"We're hoping that Scott Silver, who really wrote the first one, will come on, write the script," the actor said. "This one we'd try to make a more commercial movie about the three big fights. Dramatically, there's a lot more at stake for Micky because [after] he won the title, people automatically thought — he's still living in Lowell [Massachusetts] — they thought all of a sudden he was rich. He made a couple thousand dollars for that fight when he won the title. And that's when things got really difficult for him."
And, about those hamburgers, Wahlberg told us that not only is he deadly, deliciously serious about opening a patty joint with his brothers called Wahlburgers, but they're also planning to shoot an Internet-based reality show about the effort.
"Listen, when I told the story that I wanted to do a show about a movie star and his five friends running around Hollywood, everybody said it was the dumbest idea in the world," Wahlberg said of his "Entourage" success. "My brother is a five-star chef. So it's a family-run business. You're going to see us doing a reality show about building the business. This is the real deal. We'll throw it up there and see if it sticks."
Check out everything we've got on "Broken City."
